Senescence Reduction and Cellular Rejuvenation Formula

Cellular senescence is the process by which cells irreversibly stop dividing and secrete harmful inflammatory factors (the SASP). Senescent cells accumulate with age and are a major barrier to regeneration – they literally poison the environment for their neighbors. In the context of reprogramming, a senescent cell is essentially locked in an aged state, resistant to OSKM-induced change and spewing factors that could negate the benefits in nearby cells.
